Flip Tocila
I was born in Amsterdam in 1947 and have lived on the island of Terschelling since the late 1960s. For a large part of my working life, I worked for the Municipality of Terschelling in various departments. My last job before retirement involved licensing and public safety as a Disaster Response Coordinator. I sat / sits on the boards of various associations and foundations and was a councilor for the PvdA for a number of years and until now a council committee member.
I've been filming for almost 60 years. My first film was a kind of feature film made in the time of the Provo (an anarchist protest movement ) around the sixties in Amsterdam, my birthplace.
I filmed with Double 8 films, then with Super 8 films and finally almost every (amateur) video format that has been on the market. My first camera was a Kodak Brownie with a 3-lens, spring-driven turret. With Super 8 I filmed with the Braun Nizo 4080 and the Beaulieu 2008 ZMII. My current cameras are The Panasonic AG-UX180, Panasonic HC-VXF1, Sony FDR AX53, Sony HDR-AX2000, DJI Mavic Pro drone and the DJI Osmo Pocket.
As an editing program I use Adobe Premiere CC.
