Fire Willem Barentszstraat West-Terschelling
On December 28, 2021, a blazing fire broke out in a garage behind one of the shops in Torenstraat in West-Terschelling. The Torenstraat and Boomstraat, shopping streets, were therefore covered in dense smoke and the lighthouse Brandaris was also completely covered in smoke. The West-Terschelling and Midsland fire brigades successfully fought the fire. The adjacent buildings have been spared.
