Spoonbills getting rings on the Boschplaat
In mid-July 2016, Harry Horn, Theunis Piersma, Petra De Goeij, employees of the Forestry Commission and volunteers at the Boschplaat were busy ringing young spoonbills. Ringing this bird species is an annual activity. With this, birds can be individually tracked using color rings. Each bird has a unique color code.
