Do & Knowledge Day Terschelling 2015
On November 1, 2015, Staatsbosbeheer Terschelling and Rijkswaterstaat organized the Doe & Knowledge at Ieders Plak. In addition to demonstrations and information, an important part was the program of eight lectures on matters that concern both Staatsbosbeheer and Rijkswaterstaat. This day is organized to involve people in the work of both authorities and to increase knowledge of the Wadden Sea landscape. Everything that Staatsbosbeheer or Rijkswaterstaat does in the beach, dune and salt marsh area stems from the National Soil Management Plan. This sets out the objectives for ten years. The Do & Knowledge Day is the kick-off for the new Management Plan to be drawn up for Terschelling. The priorities for the next decade are being examined. The islanders and visitors are involved in this by sharing knowledge about the landscape.
