Staatsbosbeheer Terschelling and Rijkswaterstaat organized a Do & Knowledge Day in and around Ieders Plak on 1 November 2015. During this day a number of lectures were given. This is one of these lectures: Island heads and tails. What are the effects on nature through the action of wind and water? On the island you have to deal with it every day at the island tails and heads. Especially visible after a heavy storm. Ecologist Evert-Jan Lammerts shows recent results of research and what consequences this has for plants and animals. Why are changes in landscape types fast and sometimes slow or not?
